Notre Dame nets 10th commitment for 2013 class
Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly landed his 10th verbal commitment for the Class of 2013 on Wednesday when cornerback Devin Butler informed the program that he was headed to South Bend.
The 6-1, 185-pounder from Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C., who has been timed at 4.54 in the 40-yard dash and also plays safety and receiver, chose the Fighting Irish over offers from Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin, among others.
Butler, who is generally regarded as a three-star defensive back by the major recruiting services, including Rivals and Scout, is a big and physical cornerback who will add depth to an area of concern on coordinator Bob Diaco's defense.
