Oregon running back to transfer

Yet another Texas running back has decided to leave Oregon.

Tra Carson, who rushed 45 times for 254 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman in 2011, has decided to leave the program, according to Rob Moseley of The Register-Guard.

Earlier Saturday, Carson posted the following message on his Twitter account: "Dont know what color uniform im going to be in next year."

Since the end of 2010, Texans Dontae Williams, Lache Seastrunk and Carson have left Eugene.

The 6-foot, 227-pounder, who attended the same high school as LaMichael James, played in 10 games as a true freshman and was expected to be the bigger back who would complement Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas next fall. Because Thomas is lined up all over the field, Carson was projected to be a bigger contributor as a backup to senior Kenjon Barner. Incoming freshman Byron Marshall could now see increased reps if he picks up the offense quickly.
