Oregon State guard breaks backboard

While on a service trip in Macedonia with his teammates, Oregon State guard Roberto Nelson broke a backboard and was bloodied during a pick-up basketball game. The accident, which was caught on video, landed Nelson in the hospital.

Thankfully, the sophomore is fine and did not suffer serious injuries. While he did need 20 stitches, he at least became YouTube worthy after the highlight-reel dunk.

Nelson averaged 7.5 points in his first season with the Beavers after not becoming eligible until December 2010. He was academically ineligible as a true freshman.
