Pac-12 Conference divisions announced

The Pac-10 announced the divisional alignment for its expanded conference Thursday, revealing what the newly named Pac-12 will look like when Colorado and Utah join the league.

Of note, USC and UCLA will not be in the same division as Cal and Stanford, but the Southern California schools will face their Northern California rivals every year.

Each team will play nine conference games: five against divisional rivals and four against schools from the other division. The new scheduling format features annual inter-divisional games between the Northern and Southern California teams.

The Pac-12 championship game will take place in December at the home site of the conference’s highest-seeded team.

Here is the Pac-12 Conference breakdown:

South

USC
UCLA

Colorado

North
