Report: Nutt done at Ole Miss after this season

Mississippi will not retain head coach Houston Nutt after this season, according to an ESPN.com report. The university is expected to make the announcement today at a 3 p.m. ET news conference.

Athletic director Pete Boone also reportedly will not be retained, but will stay at the school until it hires his replacement.

Nutt is in his fourth season as coach of the Rebels, but the SEC West program has lost 12 straight conference games going back to last season -- a school record. It will be Nutt's second straight losing season after taking Ole Miss to back-to-back Cotton Bowl games in his first two years in Oxford. He led the Rebels to nine victories in both 2008 and 2009, and he won both postseason contests.

Nutt is 24-23 at Ole Miss, but he's just 10-20 in SEC play.
