Report: Six UCLA players suspended for Oregon game
According to a report in The Orange County Register, UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel has suspended as many as six players — including multiple starters — for the Bruins’ nationally televised game against Oregon Oct. 21 in Eugene.
UCLA sports information director Marc Dellins told the paper Tuesday morning the school had “no comment at this time.”
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that the suspensions include at least three starters and that the players violated team rules, according to one of their sources.
It’s never a good time to deal with negative personnel issues, but these losses could be devastating, especially with UCLA coming off an embarrassing 35-7 loss at California last Saturday.
After the game against the Ducks, UCLA then hosts Arizona on Oct. 30 and Oregon State on Nov. 6.
