Rich Rodriguez speech (Audio)
I’m sure by now most of you have read about the emotional speech given by Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez at the team banquet Thursday night honoring the 25th anniversary of the Wolverines’ spectacular 1985 season.
Rich Rod discussed the toll his job has taken on his family, used passages from the Bible and a Josh Groban song, and declared his desire to “be a Michigan man.”
Of course, the overwhelming sentiment is that Rodriguez could be let go after the Wolverines’ bowl game.
Rodriguez led his Big Ten squad to a 7-5 mark this season, a year after going 5-7 and two years after losing a school-record nine games. However, in Denard Robinson, Rodriguez finally found the dual-threat quarterback he desired for his spread offense. As for the postseason, the Wolverines could be headed to either the Gator Bowl in Florida or the Insight Bowl in Arizona.
But back to the speech that made headlines last night.
I was finally able to find audio of it, and it comes courtesy of TheWolverine.com
