UConn suspends Endres, Kuraczea

Connecticut has indefinitely suspended backup quarterback Cody Endres and guard Erik Kuraczea for violating school policies.

Endres, a junior, started six games last season and threw for 1,354 yards and six touchdowns after current starter Zach Frazer went down with a knee injury. Frazer regained the job after Endres suffered a season-ending shoulder injury to Rutgers in late October and beat out Endres for the starting job during spring practice. The Huskies now will turn to Michael Box to be the backup quarterback. Johnny McEntee and freshman Leon Kinnard could also see their reps increase while Endres is on suspension.

Kuraczea, a redshirt sophomore, started five games last year but was listed behind senior Mathieu Olivier at left guard this season. Redshirt freshman Steve Greene is listed as the third-string left guard.
