Washington lands four-star quarterback

Troy Williams, a four-star quarterback in the Class of 2013, is headed to Washington to play for Steve Sarkisian and Co.

The 6-1, 185-pound Narbonne High School (Harbor City, CA) product is one of the better dual-threat signal-callers in the country and should fit into Sarkisian's offense really well because he's similar to current Huskies quarterback Keith Price. While he is very athletic, his strength is as a passer.

Williams held a variety of offers but ultimately chose Washington over Arizona. Last season, he threw for 3,247 yards and 34 touchdowns while rushing for 587 yards and 11 scores.

It will be interesting to see if the commitment of Williams takes the Huskies out of play for California prep quarterback Johnny Stanton, who still holds an offer from Washington. He also holds offers from Cal, San Diego State and Air Force. However, the Golden Bears and Falcons already have verbal commitments from other signal-callers. Stanton's athleticism has some wondering if he has a higher ceiling at safety at the next level.

The Huskies would have five scholarship quarterbacks on the roster in 2013 if they don't have any transfers and if they don't add any more QBs to this class.
