Washington QB Locker out against Oregon

Things continue to go south for Steve Sarkisian and the Washington Huskies.

Saturday’s difficult test at Autzen Stadium against top-ranked Oregon became much tougher with the news that quarterback Jake Locker will be unable to play due to a fractured rib. The dual-threat signal caller, who first injured the rib against Oregon State on Oct. 16, had tried to play through the injury but it was aggravated over the weekend in the team’s shutout loss to Stanford. The Cardinal sacked him three times.

Redshirt freshman Keith Price will make his first career start against Chip Kelly’s Ducks.

The Huskies have a bye after their trip to Oregon before playing UCLA at home on Nov. 18.

In the two games since the injury, Locker has thrown for just 247 yards with two interceptions and one touchdown while rushing for negative-23 yards.
