7 injured by falling ice at Cowboys Stadium

DALLAS—The weather continues to remain at the forefront of Super Bowl week as seven people were injured outside Cowboys Stadium Friday afternoon by falling ice, according to the Dallas Morning News.

One person is reported to be in critical condition after being hit with ice that fell from the roof of Sunday’s Super Bowl venue.

"The ice and snow melting off of the Cowboys Stadium roof has caused several sliding snow falls onto the plazas," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in an email to the Dallas Morning News. "All stadium entrances have been closed except for the truck tunnel, which is away from the building by a very safe distance. All workers and visitors will now enter and exit through the tunnel until further notice.”

The individuals injured Friday afternoon are believed to be workers.
