After landing Garcon, 'Skins set their sights on another wideout

Why spend big money on one guy when you can spend less and get two?

That appears to be the thinking in Washington, as shortly after the Redskins signed free agent wide receiver Pierre Garcon, the team closed in on agreeing to terms with former San Francisco 49er Josh Morgan, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

While nothing has been made official as of yet, the ‘Skins are doing everything in their power to make sure that incoming quarterback Robert Griffin III is surrounded with a quality wide receiving unit aimed at giving the Heisman Trophy winner every opportunity to succeed.

A four-year veteran, Morgan’s best season came in 2009 when the former Virginia Tech Hokie caught 52 passes for 527 yards and three touchdowns. In Washington, he’ll have the opportunity to make some noise playing alongside Santana Moss and the newly-acquired Garcon.

That is, unless some team swoops in at the last minute and steals him away from the Redskins.
