Alex Brown lands in the Big Easy
Alex Brown is trading in the deep-dish pizza of Chicago for the beignets of the Big Easy.
Just six days after being released by the Chicago Bears, the defensive end has agreed to a two-year deal with the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints, according to a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.
Brown—a nine-year veteran out of Florida—started all 32 games for the Bears over the past two years. The 30-year-old racked up 12 sacks and 92 tackles during that span.
The move gives the champs some more depth along their front seven, one of the primary areas the team was looking to address this offseason.
