Beanie to return in Week 11

Take this for what it’s worth, but running back Beanie Wells is expected to be in the lineup this Sunday when the Cardinals travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.

Wells did not play in Week 10 due to a recent knee surgery, but head coach Ken Whisenhunt said the second-year running back will practice this week and play on Sunday.

Backup running backs LaRod Stephens-Howling and Jason Wright are both battling injuries and may not be able to play in Week 11, which is why it’s so imperative for Wells to get back into the rotation.

However, owners should expect to see Tim Hightower handle the bulk of the workload until Wells can prove he’s fit enough to handle the pounding.

The Chiefs ranks 14th in the NFL in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs (19.6 pts/gm) this season.
