Boldin will be a game-time decision
Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin will be a game-time decision on Sunday when Arizona hosts the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFC playoffs, according to Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic.
The wideout is battling injuries to both his left ankle and knee.
“If I were a betting man and, knowing his toughness, I know he’s going to give it a go,” Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald told McManaman.
Not only do the Cardinals need Boldin to give it a go, they need him to step up and make some plays against a Green Bay passing defense that ranked fifth in the NFL (202.1 yds/gm) during the regular season.
The Cardinals went 2-5 this season in games where Boldin caught five or less passes. However, the defending NFC champs went 7-1 when the Pro Bowl wideout caught six or more passes in a game.
On the season, Boldin has caught 84 passes for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns.
The Cardinals and Packers kick off Sunday in Arizona at 4:40pm eastern.
