Bucs linebacker out 3-4 months
It’s been a bad news day for linebackers around the NFL.
First, the New York Giants said goodbye to starting middle linebacker Antonio Pierce.
Now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are saying goodbye to weakside linebacker Geno Hayes.
But only for a few months.
Hayes underwent surgery in late January to repair a torn labrum he sustained in Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons, according to Tom Krasniqi of Bright House Sports Network, via our friends at PewterReport.com.
Hayes, a two-year veteran out of Florida State, recorded 98 tackles (80 solo), three sacks and two interceptions in 13 starts for the Bucs in 2009.
