Colt McCoy says he's 100%

If you’re a Big 12 quarterback and you aren’t battling back from a shoulder injury, chances are good that you haven’t been making headlines the past few months (sorry, Zac Robinson).

Sticking with the trend, former Texas quarterback Colt McCoy told Gil Brandt of NFL.com that he has completely recovered from the shoulder injury he sustained against Alabama in the BCS title game and will be ready to throw at Texas’ pro day on March 29.

McCoy—who has been living and training in Mission Viejo, Calif.—told Brandt that he’s been slinging the ball around while working with some receivers he found on the street.

The former Longhorn signal-caller is scheduled to begin throwing with former USC wideout Damian Williams sometime next week.

McCoy currently checks in as the No. 5 quarterback prospect on the NFP Draft Central big board—but his stock could be on the rise with a solid pro day at the end of the month.
