Dolphins meet with Dez Bryant

You can dog Dez Bryant all you want for his pro day performance on Wednesday, but you have to remember that the wide receiver doesn’t need all 32 teams to love him.

He just needs one.

The former Oklahoma State Cowboy met with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night in a meeting that is expected to carry over into Friday, according to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Kelly describes the meeting as a “get to know you session.”

Bryant made headlines around the country on Wednesday when he ran a 4.52 and 4.68 in the 40-yard-dash. Afterwards, the wideout wasn’t shy about taking on his critics, who had responded earlier in the day when Bryant told reporters he forgot to bring his best pair of cleats.

The Dolphins currently own the 12th pick in the first round and many experts believe they’re in the market for a wide receiver. After all, starting wideouts Ted Ginn, Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo combined for just three touchdowns in 2009.

The 6’2”, 220-pound Bryant may bring some issues to the table, but he’s still the most talented wide receiver in this year’s draft class.
