Dolphins tender Ronnie Brown

Like several other teams in the NFL on Wednesday, the Miami Dolphins are getting themselves organized for the start of free agency.

In South Beach, that meant taking care of some in-house business as the team tendered tight end Anthony Fasano and running back Ronnie Brown on Wednesday, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

Per Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald (via Salguero), Fasano has been tendered a contract at $1,176,000, meaning the ‘Fins “have the right of first refusal plus the right to a pick in the player’s round should Fasano sign with another team and Miami not match the offer.”

In addition to Fasano, Ronnie Brown was tendered at 110% of his 2009 salary, which is worth approximately $3.97 million.

Miami would be owed a first-round draft pick should another team sign Brown and the Dolphins not match the offer.

Think anyone will make a move for Brown? The guy is only 28-years-old and has a career rushing average of 4.4 yards per carry.
