Down goes Kenny Britt
For those of you who missed this piece of news in my “Enter the red zone” column, Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt injured his hamstring on the fourth play of the game against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday and is expected to miss an “extended period of time,” per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
Despite the bad news, we advise all Britt owners to hold tight and try to avoid dropping the second-year wideout. The Titans aren’t very deep at the wide receiver position and Britt has really taken a big step this year. Once he comes back, Britt will once again be the No. 1 target in Tennessee.
However, keep an eye on wide receivers Nate Washington (21-351-4) and Damian Williams (11-146-0), who will now become the top targets for quarterback Vince Young.
Both players will be hot commodities on the wavier wire this week.
