Eagles tender nine RFAs

The Philadelphia Eagles announced earlier today that they have tendered nine restricted free agents.

Cornerback Ellis Hobbs was the only member of the team to receive a first-round tender. He was acquired by the Eagles via a draft day trade in 2009.

Pro Bowl fullback Leonard Weaver, wide receiver Jason Avant, guard/center Nick Cole and linebacker Akeem Jordan all received second round tenders.

Linebacker Chris Gocong (third round), guard Max Jean-Gilles (fourth round), linebacker Omar Gaither (fifth round) and punter Sav Rocca (right of first refusal) round out the group.

With that out of the way, we can resume the countdown to free agency.

Just over four hours remaining.
