Eagles trade Bell to Browns for Harrison

If you thought the Jermichael Finley news was the only thing we’d be talking about today, you got another thing coming.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded running back Mike Bell to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for running back Jerome Harrison.

Obviously, the Browns have not been happy with Harrison’s production and in addition, are probably concerned about the hamstring injury to starting running back Peyton Hillis.

For the Eagles, the team realized that Mike Bell wasn’t the right fit for their offense. They need (and like) versatile, shifty running backs that can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Bell is worth adding for owners in deeper leagues because he may walk right into some playing time. However, his upside is very, very limited. Don’t expect a ton of production.

In regards to Harrison, unless something happens to starter LeSean McCoy, his role in Philadelphia will be limited.
