Finally, a quarterback who wants to throw

INDIANAPOLIS--Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Jimmy Clausen, Dan LeFevour.

All big name quarterbacks, all not throwing at the combine.

Whether it's a change in mechanics, an injury or a carefully calculated decision, several future NFL quarterbacks have decided against throwing in Indianapolis.

Apparently, that trend was lost on Ole Miss signal-caller Jevan Snead.

"That's the one thing I came here to do," Snead said at Lucas Oil Field Friday afternoon when asked by a reporter why he had decided to throw at the combine. "I want to show everybody I can throw the ball and [show the scouts] I can make all the throws. I love the competition and just look forward to getting out there and doing it."

Well said.

It's great to see a guy step up and seize the opportunity.
