Former NFLer scores 2nd round knockout at UFC Live on Versus (video!)
After scoring an impressive second-round knockout over fellow heavyweight Christian Morecraft at Sunday night’s Ultimate Fighting Championship event in Pittsburgh, Matt Mitrione offered up an entertaining assessment of his skill set.
“The only thing I can say about my hands is that I piss excellence,” Mitrione told UFC commentator Joe Rogan.
Ah, the beauty of a sport that doesn't try to censor its athletes.
Mitrione—who played defensive tackle for the New York Giants in 2002 and the Minnesota Vikings in 2005—improved his MMA record to 5-0-0 with Sunday’s convincing victory at 4:28 of the second round.
The 6-3, 265-pounder may have recorded just two tackles during his brief NFL career, but he’s starting to turn (and bust) some heads in his new profession.
Check it out for yourself.
