Golden Nugget releases first 2011 college football point spreads

The 2011 college football season kicked off Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, as the Golden Nugget sportsbook released their opening lines for approximately 100 of the marquee matchups on this year’s schedule.

Kellen MooreICONKellen Moore and the Broncos are 6-point favorites vs. Georgia early in the season.

Since 2006, the Golden Nugget has been the first shop in the business to offer up lines on upcoming college football games. In fact, the Nugget’s style of coming out early has become so popular that last year the sportsbook actually had lines of bettors that stretched out the door, per Golden Nugget sportsbook director Tony Miller, who recently spoke with David Payne of Covers.com.

Per Miller via Payne, bettors are allowed to make a maximum of three bets of no more than $1,000 each before they must head to the end of the line.

We’ll be speaking with some industry experts and will have a more thorough analysis on a few of these games this weekend, but for now, here are the Golden Nugget’s point spreads for some of the biggest games on the 2011 schedule…
