It appears "Favre-watch" 2010 may be over

Hey everybody! Look who’s back in the news!

The internet as it pertains to the football world is in overdrive this afternoon as rumors and reports regarding the possible return of Brett Favre keep popping up all around the country.

It looks like this year’s edition of the always-entertaining “Favre-watch” is finally over.

WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg reported Tuesday that quarterback Brett Favre jumped on a plane headed for the Land of 10,000 Lakes (Minnesota, for those of you who have to look it up on Wikipedia like me) after having been visited in Mississippi earlier today by Vikings teammates Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson and Ryan Longwell.

No word on what the three players said to Favre, but it appears to have worked (assuming Favre wasn’t planning on coming back anyway, which we all know he was).

In addition to the report from WDAM, FoxSports.com got in on the action and reported that Favre told Hutchinson, Allen and Longwell that he was coming back.

Stay tuned! When the plane lands in Minnesota, we’ll let you know.

That is all.
