Koppen headed back to New England
Dan Koppen has spent his entire eight-year career with the New England Patriots. So it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see that the free agent center has agreed to terms with the team that helped him earn two Super Bowl rings after he spent the last few weeks testing the free agent waters.
Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that the two sides have come to an agreement on a two-year deal worth $6 million.
The 32-year-old from Boston College started every game at center for the Patriots from 2008-2010, but suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 last season that knocked him out for the remainder of the year. His best season came in 2007, when Koppen earned his first and only trip to the Pro Bowl.
