Lions swing deal for Sims

One move at a time, the Detroit Lions continue to upgrade their roster.

Per a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Lions have traded a fifth-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for guard Rob Sims.

Sims—a four-year veteran out of Ohio State—started 34 games for the Seahawks over the past four years, including 14 in 2009.

The speculation can now continue as to what the Lions will do with the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft. The top rumors include defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh (Nebraska) and Gerald McCoy (Oklahoma), offensive tackle Russell Okung (Oklahoma State) or a potential trade down.
