Looks like Zach Miller will be back in black

One of the most underrated tight ends in the league in our opinion, Zach Miller finds himself a free agent after four interesting seasons in Oakland.

Zach MillerMiller has led the Raiders in receptions in each of the past three years.

But after last year’s 8-8 finish, many current Raiders are excited about the direction the team is headed, which is why Miller may be in the process of turning down opportunities to play elsewhere to stay in the Bay Area.

According to Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times, people connected to the situation in Oakland believe that Miller will re-sign with the Raiders once the organization frees up the necessary cap space.

It’s a smart move by the Silver & Black, as the Raiders currently boast one of the league’s most unaccomplished and unknown receiving units. A four-year veteran, Miller has led the team in receiving in each of the past three years and provides a reliable check-down option for whichever quarterback ends up under center.

If the Raiders are serious about improving on last season’s 8-8 record, re-signing Miller is an excellent place to start.
