McNabb wants to retire as an Eagle

With all of the speculation surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles and what they will do with their three quarterbacks this offseason, Donovan McNabb released a statement on his website Wednesday to let everyone know he wants to remain in Philly.

"My position hasn't changed. I've said all along that I would like to win a Super Bowl and finish my career in Philadelphia.

"I understand the situation well and just hope whichever direction the Eagles decide to go in, they do it quickly. I think that would be best for me, Kevin, Michael, the Eagles, and any other teams involved. No matter what happens, I've already begun preparing to have an outstanding season in 2010."

McNabb, backup Kevin Kolb and third-stringer Michael Vick will all be entering their final year of their contracts in 2010. Many believe at least one of the signal-callers will be on the move before the start of next season.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles are looking for a second-round pick in exchange for McNabb. However, you have to factor in the contract extension that the veteran quarterback would be looking for from any team willing to send a draft pick Philly’s way.

In any event, one thing in Philadelphia remains certain and that is until the Eagles make a move with one of their three quarterbacks, the rumors and speculation will only continue to grow.
