Analysis: This is usually that time of the year when the San Diego Chargers begin to heat up. Norv Turner’s team has won two-straight games and is coming off the bye entering Monday night’s divisional-showdown with the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos are 1-3 on the road this season and head to San Diego having lost four of their last five games.

For the Chargers, tight end Antonio Gates is banged up and may not play, running back Ryan Mathews has been ruled out and there is still no official word on whether or not wideout Malcom Floyd will be able to play.

Since 2008, the Chargers are 7-3 in the month of November with six straight victories.

Prediction: Big-time points. Philip Rivers should top 300 passing yards Monday night without much of an issue.

Current Record (Monday & Thursday games): 9-4-1

Pick: Lightning will strike in Southern California Monday night. I’m taking the Bolts and laying the points.
