Myron Rolle sets a workout date
Former Florida State safety Myron Rolle is one of the more intriguing stories entering April’s draft.
He’s not only an exceptional athlete, but an academic as well.
Rolle made headlines when he declined to enter the 2009 draft, opting instead to accept a Rhodes scholarship and move to England to study at Oxford.
Now that he’s back in the U.S., Rolle has been taking the necessary steps to put himself in the best possible position for next month’s draft. The 6’1”, 217-pound safety—who did not participate in Florida State’s pro day on March 19—will host a workout for NFL personnel on April 7 at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando, according to Gil Brandt of NFL.com.
Rolle is currently the NFP’s fifth-rated strong safety prospect. In his three-year career at FSU, the 23-year-old racked up 207 tackles, one forced fumble and one interception.
