Oregon lands prized running back
The Ducks just made a big splash.
Running back Lache Seastrunk-SuperPrep’s 30th ranked player in the country-verbally committed to the University of Oregon on Wednesday afternoon, according to Rob Moseley of the Register-Guard.
Seastrunk, a 5’10”, 185-pounder out of Temple, Texas rushed for 1,174 yards and 15 scores during his senior season at Temple High. The speedster chose Oregon over LSU, USC, Auburn and Baylor.
For his high school career, Seastrunk set the school record for career rushing yards (4,127) and career touchdowns (52).
With Seastrunk on board, the Ducks have now added some depth to a backfield that already features Pac-10 offensive freshman of the year LeMichael James, who rushed for 1,476 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2009.
