Orton will be put on the trading block
Looks like Kevin Kolb isn’t the only quarterback set to be dealt as we approach 10:00am eastern.
ICONCould Kyle Orton be headed for Arizona?
Mike Klis of the Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos will put veteran quarterback Kyle Orton on the trading block and begin listening to offers Tuesday morning.
The move makes sense as new head coach John Fox and the Broncos want to capitalize on the market’s current demand for capable, veteran signal-callers. With the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks reportedly interested in Kolb’s services, it’s possible the Broncos could come in and undercut the Eagles.
Personally, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Miami Dolphins put in a phone call in regards to Orton. Head coach Tony Sparano is on the hot seat and three-year veteran Chad Henne has yet to prove he can handle the starting gig.
In two seasons with the Broncos, Orton went 11-17 as the starting quarterback and posted a QB Rating of 88.1.
Will the Cardinals make a move for Kevin Kolb or Kyle Orton? Discuss it now in the NFP Forums!
