Report: Jaguars, Landry closing in on deal
The Jacksonville Jaguars have realized that owning the league’s 28th ranked total defense is an issue that warrants attention.
Especially when you take into account that quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub are on the schedule for two games every year.
After reaching an agreement with linebacker Paul Posluszny Tuesday evening, Jacksonville is in the process of adding another defender to their 2011 free agent haul. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jaguars and free agent safety Dawan Landry are closing in on a five-year deal that should be completed on Friday.
A five-year veteran out of Georgia Tech, Landry started every game for the Ravens over the past two years and is coming off a 2010 campaign that featured a career-high 108 tackles.
