Report: L.T. could be bound for the Big Apple

Over the last few days, LaDainian Tomlinson has been making the rounds in search of a new football team.

And now it looks as if that search may be coming to a close.

Per a report from Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, sources close to the future Hall of Fame running back say that Tomlinson has decided to sign with the New York Jets.

“It’s 100 percent,” a source close to the free agent running back told Acee. “Done deal.”

The Chargers released their all-time leading rusher on February 22, ending a nine-year stint in San Diego that was highlighted by five trips to the Pro Bowl and an MVP award in 2006.

However, another source told Acee that Tomlinson has not officially made a decision on where he will play in 2010. Should he head to New York, L.T. would be backing-up running back Shonn Greene, who led the league in playoff rushing yards this season with 304.

In addition to the Jets, the Minnesota Vikings are also reported to be interested in signing 30-year-old running back.
