Report: Raiders won't trade No. 8 for Big Ben
As much as Ben Roethlisberger wearing in silver and black in 2010 may make sense to some people, it doesn’t look like the Steelers quarterback will be headed to the Bay Area in the immediate future.
Per a report from Steve Corkran of the Oakland Tribune, the Raiders contacted the Steelers about a possible trade for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. However, Oakland is unwilling to part with their first round pick (No. 8 overall) and Pittsburgh won’t throw their first pick (No. 18) into the mix to improve the deal.
Despite the fact that the 2010 draft kicks off Thursday evening, Big Ben has dominated the headlines since being handed a six-game suspension from commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday.
Expect the rumor mill to kick into overdrive today regarding where the troubled quarterback could end up should the Steelers decide to pull the trigger.
