Saints to work out Williams
Tulane wide receiver Jeremy Williams is scheduled to work out for the New Orleans Saints on April 8, the 23-year-old said in a text message to the NFP Monday afternoon.
The 6’1”, 206-pound Williams caught 84 passes for 1,113 yards and seven touchdowns for the Green Wave in 2009 on his way to being named honorable mention All-Conference USA. Williams caught 197 passes for 2,807 yards and 19 scores in his four-year career at Tulane.
Williams was named the South Team MVP at the 2010 Senior Bowl in January after posting 109 all-purpose yards (82 receiving, 27 rushing) in a 31-13 loss.
The senior from Baytown, Tex. is currently the NFP's 11th ranked wide receiver prospect.
