Seahawks land another former Eagle
Former San Diego State linebacker Matt McCoy has bounced around the NFC quite a bit over the past few years.
The latest stop on his professional journey takes the 27-year-old to Seattle, where McCoy has signed a one-year deal to play for the Seahawks, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times.
McCoy was drafted by the Eagles in 2005 and spent three seasons in Philadelphia before joining the New Orleans Saints for part of the 2007 season. Following his brief stint in the Big Easy, McCoy played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008 and 2009.
In five years, McCoy has started just 12 games and recorded 99 tackles with two sacks and four forced fumbles.
