Something could be brewing as Vegas pulls Iowa-Missouri off the board

Something’s cooking.

The December 28 Insight Bowl between the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-5) and the Missouri Tigers (10-2) was taken off the board by the Las Vegas Hilton, Caesars Palace and Wynn sportsbooks Monday afternoon, per Mike Hilas of TheGazette.com.

The move comes less than one week after Iowa wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos was suspended by head coach Kirk Ferentz following the 23-year-old’s recent arrest on drug charges.

Whether or not Monday’s developments have anything to do with the Iowa Hawkeyes remains to be seen, but sportsbooks in Vegas won’t yank games off the board without a reason.

Vegas originally installed Missouri as a 1-point favorite.

Stay tuned.
