Taylor back from vacation, still hasn't decided
Apparently, Jason Taylor’s Costa Rican vacation has concluded.
Unfortunately for the New York Jets, the defensive end still doesn’t have an answer.
Per a tweet from Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald, Taylor returned from his weekend vacation on Monday and hopes to have a decision made on his NFL future within the next two days.
Jets head coach Rex Ryan and the rest of the organization recently put the full-court press on the 13-year veteran in the hopes of bringing him to New York to help solidify their front seven.
Taylor—who played outside linebacker with the Dolphins last season—would most likely be used as a pass rushing defensive end in Ryan’s aggressive 3-4 defense.
After recording double-digit sack totals five times in six years from 2002-2007, Taylor has managed just 10.5 sacks since 2008.
