The journey continues: Ernie Sims lands in Indy

As the ninth overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft, big things were expected from Ernie Sims.

But after four underwhelming seasons in Detroit followed by a lackluster 15 games in Philadelphia, Sims finds himself on his third team in three years looking to revive his career.

Mike Chappell of the Indy Star is reporting that Sims has reached an agreement with the Indianapolis Colts. The terms of the deal weren’t immediately made available.

The former Florida State standout has 71 starts and 474 career tackles under his belt, but has never lived up to the hype that surrounded him coming out of college.
