The Redskins have made a move!
Look out everybody.
Washington has entered the free agent pool.
Free agent defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu and the Redskins have agreed to a two-year deal worth $7 million, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.
Kemoeatu—an eight-year veteran out of Utah—missed all of the 2009 season with the Carolina Panthers due to a torn right Achilles tendon he suffered last August.
The 6’5”, 345-pound defensive tackle will add some serious beef to the Redskins defensive front—a unit that already features Pro Bowler Albert Haynesworth.
Washington ranked 16th in the NFL against the run last season, allowing 112.4 yards per game.
