Today is pro day at The U

26.

That’s the number of first-round picks that came out of the University of Miami last decade.

Yes, that includes the historic 2004 draft which saw a record-setting six Hurricanes get selected in the first round (Sean Taylor, Kellen Winslow, Jonathan Vilma, D.J. Williams, Vernon Carey and Vince Wilfork).

We took this brief trip down memory lane because Friday is pro day at The U. And while Miami may not be the national power that it once was, the team still went 9-4 in 2009 after going 7-6 in 2008 and 5-8 in 2007.

Future NFL players to keep an eye on in Miami today include offensive tackle Jason Fox, tight end Jimmy Graham, linebacker Darryl Sharpton and running back Javarris James.

In addition, future first-round pick Kyle Wilson (cornerback) will be working out at Boise State’s pro day on Friday.

Here’s the rundown for Friday:

1. Arizona State
2. Boise State
3. Delta State
4. Miami (FL)
5. Northern Illinois
6. Tennessee-Martin
7. Wake Forest
