Vikings DE Edwards misses practice, Henderson returns

Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards sat out Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury he sustained in the third quarter of Sunday’s 34-3 NFC Divisional round win over the Dallas Cowboys.

If the Vikings plan on getting after Saints quarterback Drew Brees this Sunday, it would help to have Edwards in the lineup. The defensive end recorded three sacks, eight tackles and a forced fumble against the Cowboys.

In addition to Edwards, defensive tackle Kevin Williams-one half of the famed “Williams Wall”-missed practice due to a knee injury.

One good piece of news for Minnesota is that backup linebacker Erin Henderson returned to the team after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Henderson recorded just four tackles in two games for the Vikings during the regular season.
