Vikings waive Moss
Big news out of Minnesota Monday afternoon as the Vikings waived Pro Bowl wide receiver Randy Moss, according to our old friend Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network.
Per Lombardi, Moss did not make the trip back to Minnesota with the team after Sunday’s loss at New England. No word yet on what happened between the veteran wideout and the team that led to this decision.
Now, here’s how this works:
1. NFL teams that are interested in acquiring Moss’ services can put in a claim for him.
2. We will know by Tuesday at 4:00pm eastern which team will be awarded Moss’ contract.
3. From that point, we can begin to get a better idea of his fantasy value moving forward.
At the current moment, Moss ranks just 29th in scoring among fantasy wide receivers, with 22 receptions for 313 yards and five touchdowns.
The original “straight cash homey” was acquired by the Vikings back on October 6 in a trade with the New England Patriots.
More on this story as it develops.
