Week 5 Final Injury Report
OUT: Definitely will not play
DOUBTFUL: 75% will not play
QUESTIONABLE: 50-50 chance will not play
PROBABLE: Virtual certainty player will be available for normal duties
Here’s the rundown from the final injury reports that were released Friday afternoon:
Michael Jenkins, WR, Atlanta Falcons (shoulder, QUESTIONABLE): Jenkins was held to limited reps in practice all week, but could see his first game action of the season Sunday at Cleveland. Keep an eye on this guy, as he could be a hot waiver wire pickup this week.
Peyton Hillis, RB, Cleveland Browns (thigh, QUESTIONABLE): Hillis took limited reps in practice on Thursday, but missed practice on Friday. He’ll likely be a game-time decision, so owners are advised to start considering a backup option just to be safe.
Jake Delhomme, QB, Cleveland Browns (ankle, QUESTIONABLE): Delhomme was held to limited reps in practice all week, but even if he can play, the Browns may decide to stick with Seneca Wallace. This guy should be on the waiver wire.
Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears (concussion, OUT): Cutler will not play this Sunday at Carolina due to a concussion he suffered in Week 4 at New York (Giants).
Steve Smith, WR, Carolina Panthers (ankle, OUT): Smith will not play Sunday vs. Chicago due to a high ankle sprain.
Knowshon Moreno, RB, Denver Broncos (hamstring, OUT): Moreno will miss another game this weekend due to a nagging hamstring injury.
Ray Rice, RB, Baltimore Ravens (knee, PROBABLE): Rice was a full participant in practice all week and is expected to start Sunday vs. Denver.
Morgan Burnett (S), Nick Barnett (LB), D/ST, Green Bay Packers: The Packers will be without both Burnett (knee) and Barnett (wrist) for Week 5 and possibly the rest of the season. This is a big blow to one of the best fantasy defenses in the game.
Clinton Portis, RB, Washington Redskins (groin, OUT): Portis is expected to miss the next 4-6 weeks with a separated groin and could very well be done for the season.
Joseph Addai, RB, Indianapolis Colts (knee, QUESTIONABLE): Addai was a full participant in practice all week and is expected to start Sunday vs. Kansas City.
Pierre Garcon, WR, Indianapolis Colts (hamstring, QUESTIONABLE): Garcon was a full participant in all three practice sessions this week and should make his return to the gridiron on Sunday vs. Kansas City.
Austin Collie, WR, Indianapolis Colts (foot, QUESTIONABLE): Collie missed practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant on Friday. He will likely be a game-time decision, so owners are advised to consider a backup option just in case.
Donald Brown, RB, Indianapolis Colts (hamstring, QUESTIONABLE): Brown missed practice all week and will likely be held out of Sunday’s game vs. Kansas City. Even if he does play, his role will be very limited.
Pierre Thomas, RB, New Orleans Saints (ankle, OUT): Thomas will not play this Sunday when the Saints travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals.
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, New York Giants (ankle, QUESTIONABLE): Bradshaw did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but took limited reps on Friday. He told local reporters he planned on playing this Sunday at Houston, so owners should expect to see him in the starting lineup.
Jacoby Jones, WR, Houston Texans (calf, DOUBTFUL): Jones missed practice all week and is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. Put him on your bench and look for another option.
Andre Johnson, WR, Houston Texans (ankle, QUESTIONABLE): Johnson did not practice on Wednesday, but took limited reps on Thursday and Friday. He will likely be a game-time decision, so owners are advised to prepare a backup plan. The good news is that Johnson told reporters he will play. The bad news is that he said the same thing last week.
Darren McFadden, RB, Oakland Raiders (hamstring, OUT): McFadden will not play this Sunday when the Raiders host the San Diego Chargers. Michael Bush will be handling the workload.
Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions (shoulder, OUT): Once again, Stafford will not play.
Jahvid Best, RB, Detroit Lions (toe, QUESTIONABLE): Best took limited reps in practice all week and is expected to play Sunday vs. St. Louis.
LeSean McCoy, RB, Philadelphia Eagles (ribs, QUESTIONABLE): McCoy did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but was a full participant on Friday. It looks like he should be good to go on Sunday night at San Francisco.
Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles (ribs, OUT): Vick will not play Sunday at San Francisco due to a chest/rib injury he suffered in Week 4 vs. Washington.
