Williams improves 40 time at pro day
Heading into his pro day at Tulane University, wide receiver Jeremy Williams knew he needed to come up big in the 40-yard-dash.
On Friday, the senior wideout did just that.
After running a disappointing 4.61 at last month’s NFL combine in Indianapolis, Williams put on the burners during his pro day and clocked a 4.44.
“I knew I had it in me,” Williams told the NFP on Monday. “But after I ran that 4.6 at the combine, I knew I had to turn heads at my pro day.”
The 23-year-old is currently the NFP’s 11th ranked wide receiver in this year’s draft class. During his final season for the Green Wave, Williams caught 84 passes for 1,113 yards and 7 touchdowns on his way to being named honorable mention All-Conference USA.
