Bills' WR Donald Jones done for the year
The Buffalo Bills wide receiving corps have suffered another big hit.
According to BuffaloBills.com, the team has placed wide receiver Donald Jones on injured reserve after the wideout suffered his second high ankle sprain of the season in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Bills head coach Chan Gailey said Monday that there was an “outside chance” Jones could return towards the end of the season, but the second year receiver out of Youngstown State won’t play again in 2011.
To counter the loss, the Bills announced the signing of former Oakland Raiders wide receiver Derek Hagan, as well as the promotion of rookie wide receiver Kamar Aiken from their practice squad.
In eight games this season, Donald Jones totaled 231 yards and one touchdown on 18 receptions.
