It's often overstated that the NFL has transitioned toward becoming a near-exclusively passing league with diminishing value in workhorse running backs - and, as result, the heavy-footed lead blocking fullbacks who pave the way for them.

While true in some cases, the Miami Dolphins are not shying away from the prospect of adding three-time All-Pro fullback Vonta Leach.

According to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun, discussions between the player and organization are ongoing Wednesday despite general manager Jeff Ireland and coach Joe Philbin traveling out of the country.

It seemed a deal was imminent as of Monday after ESPN Insider Adam Schefter stated that it would be a "major upset" if the Super Bowl XLVII champion didn't ultimately wind up in Miami.

That in mind, an agreement on money will dictate when and where Leach - one of the few remaining premier free agents available - signs, as he's said there is no hurry to put a pen to paper.

The 31-year-old went undrafted out of East Carolina in 2004 and has spent time with the Packers, Saints, Texans, and most recently, the Ravens.
